Purple Cubed announce management buyout and revised consultancy venture
Purple Cubed, the long-standing partners of The Caterer's Best Places to Work in Hospitality has announced a change of its business.
For over 21 years, the employee retention business has been helping hospitality and other service businesses to become better places to work, through a tech platform, a consultancy offer and learning and development.
Now with seven former employees having set up their own successful enterprises, an internal team under a new brand, Korero, have acquired the company's ‘Talent Toolbox' employee engagement and performance management platform. Korero directors, Steve Kennaird, Tom Lake, and Sean McSweeney, have been ‘the engine' behind Purple Cubed's tech for the last 10 years and will now take it to the next stage.
Purple Cubed founder Jane Sunley and managing director Jo Harley, will continue with their consultancy business, via a new brand, Hendrick & Hyde. Jane Sunley, said: "We want to continue doing what we do best, the work that we know and love; helping great businesses become greater places to work. I'm excited for the next chapter and couldn't be prouder that our own people are able to take ownership to evolve a crazy ideal I had many years ago, into a state-of-the-art, mainstream product that's perfect for this new world of work!"
Harley and Sunley will continue to work with Korero in supporting roles. Tom Lake added: "As co-founders of Korero, we are excited to carry on the legacy of Purple Cubed and its commitment to empowering employees to reach their full potential. We have seen first-hand the hugely positive impact Talent Toolbox has had on businesses and can also see opportunities to combine untapped potential with new ideas and approaches, to turn this into the market-leading employee engagement and retention technology we know it has the potential to become".
The learning and development part of the Purple Cubed brand will become part of Purple Story, the creative consultancy led by ex-operator, Karen Turton. Purple Story focuses on driving and enhancing operational excellence and competitive advantage through people.
