Premier Foods launch Bisto Together for pubs
Food manufacturer Premier Foods has launched a new initiative for the pub channel which aims to bring local communities together by encouraging them to come and eat together.
The ‘Bisto Together Project' has been designed to drive community spirit and tackle loneliness by connecting people of all generations and backgrounds over the pub dining table and follows government research which reveals that 44% of the UK has felt lonely at some point in their lives.
Pub caterers and chefs will have access to a host of online materials which will provide them with the tools to put on a ‘Bisto Community Table' at their pub with those pubs which register online and commit to hosting a Bisto Community Table, receiving free samples of Bisto Gravy to help on the day.
In addition, the first 50 pubs to register online will also receive a kit that contains everything from table talkers, ways to help get conversations started, to posters to help promote the initiative and encourage the local community to get involved.
Sarah Robb, channel marketing Manager at Premier Foods, commented: "It's often within a local community that the pub is really valued as a community hub. Hosting a Bisto Community Table is a great way for pubs to encourage new people to their venue and attract those who perhaps don't usually visit due to the fact they're on their own and feel nervous to do so. Pubs are the perfect environment for relaxed social interaction to take place, coming together over a drink or meal.
"We are looking forward to seeing all of the images from your own Bisto Community Table events, and if you are using social media, don't forget to use the #BistoTogether."
