Palé Hall to undergo refurbishment and launch new guest houses
Palé Hall is due to undergo a refurbishment which will add around four bedrooms onto the property, reimagine the bar and restaurant area and add four new guesthouses to the estate.
Works on the five-red-AA-starred hotel in Llandderfel, Gwynedd, are expected to be complete by May 2020, which will see the bedrooms increase from 18 to up to 23.
Meanwhile, new guesthouses will include the Barn, an open plan conversion with two bedrooms featuring Art Deco and classical furnishings, a kitchen, private hot tub and lounge at tree level; the one-bedroom Garden Cottage; and two Coach House Suites.
Refurbishment of the hotel's restaurant is already underway and will see an increase covers next month from 48 to 60, while the bar will be renamed the Huntsman after the intricate game carvings which adorn it, and will offer bistro-style dining and casual seating in an informal and relaxed setting.
The three-AA-rosette Henry Robertson Dining Room will then move to the former drawing room and serve afternoon tea and head chef Gareth Stevenson's fine-dining menu. The Venetian Dining Room will continue to offer formal and casual menus for families or private dining.
The 19th century house was restored and relaunched by owners Alan and Angela Harper in 2016.
