Open House to launch the Broadcaster restaurant at Television Centre
London hospitality group Open House is to launch a pub, restaurant and rooftop bar at the former BBC television headquarters in White City next month.
The venue, named the Broadcaster, will open in a separate four-storey building and offer British pub food ‘with a modern twist' alongside low intervention, organic and biodynamic wines.
An on-the-go kitchen serving bar snacks and barbecue dishes will open on the rooftop pergola in spring 2022.
The Broadcaster will be the third London opening from Open House, which is also behind the Lightermen in King's Cross and Percy & Founders in Fitzrovia.
"The project has been three years in the making and the team have worked tirelessly to overcome the challenges brought on from the pandemic to create a truly special venue," said Ankur Wishart, managing director of Open House.
The former BBC studios was relaunched as the Television Centre development in 2018 with over 400 homes, restaurants including Kricket, Bluebird and Patty & Bun, and a Soho House member's club.
The Open House team also founded Cubitt House, which runs pubs and boutique hotels in London's Belgravia, Knightsbridge, Pimlico and Marylebone.
