NZR to replace Black Roe with second Chotto Matte
NZR Group has revealed it is relaunching its Black Roe modern Asian restaurant in London's Mayfair as a second Chotto Matte, serving Peruvian-Japanese fusion cuisine.
The site is set to relaunch in early June as part of NZR managing director Paul Sarlas' strategy to expand the brand local and internationally. Building works have already begun and Black Roe has closed ahead of the relaunch.
Sarlas said: "Chotto Matte has been incredibly successful in London's Soho and we are now poised to open the second London site in Mayfair. We will maintain our cool and sexy Tokyo vibe whilst enhancing the offering with a more plush design.
"Our commitment to quality will continue and we look forward to welcoming both new and existing guests of ours through the doors. Mayfair has a unique feel in London and we are excited to bring the Chotto Matte experience to this location."
Restaurateur Kurt Zdesar launched the first Chotto Matte in Soho in 2013 and now has sites in Canada and the USA, with another expected to open in Saudi Arabia. The group also operates Italian concept Fucina in Marylebone.
