Nitin Ramtri returns to Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh – the Caledonian as GM
Nitin Ramtri has returned to the Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh – the Caledonian after eight years as its new general manager.
Ramtri was previously director of operations at the 241-bedroom hotel, since then he has been general manager of the Hilton Glasgow Grosvenor and hotel manager at the London Hilton Park Lane.
He said: "Following six years living and working outside of Scotland, it is with great excitement that I return to Edinburgh and continue my journey with Hilton as general manager at Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh – the Caledonian. I feel incredibly grateful to re-join the phenomenal team at Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh, and be part of such an iconic property within the city, and Scotland, which celebrates its heritage and embraces true Scottish hospitality."
He replaces Dale MacPhee, winner of the 2022 Manager of the Year Catey, who having spent the last 10 years as general manager of the property, has taken on the same role at the Waldorf Astoria in Cairo, Egypt.
