New Thai restaurant to open at St Martin's Courtyard
A new Thai restaurant is set to open at St Martin's Courtyard (pictured) in London's Covent Garden, already home to restaurants including Jamie's Italian, Dishoom and Bill's Produce.
Suda, which is set to launch in September, is the latest project from S&P, the company behind Thai-themed restaurant group Patara.
The restaurant will offer a menu of contemporary and traditional Thai dishes and will include a special Som Tam bar, dedicated to the traditional Thai dish of unripe, shredded papaya salad.
Spread over two floors, Suda will accommodate a total of 160 diners, with a bar and some seating on the ground floor and a main dining room with a glass-fronted kitchen and the Som Tam bar on the first.
Interiors will be designed by Bangkok-based consultancy IAW Design in collaboration with London firm Harrison Design.
The menu will feature typical Thai dishes such as beef sirloin green curry alongside more modern grilled lamb chops and tamtang, and papaya pad Thai, as well as street-food inspired dishes such as crabmeat cigars and fish and prawn cake lollipops.
