Paradise Green
The Daisy Green Collection has opened Paradise Green – its largest project to date – in the City of London.
The 10,000 sq ft space is split into two concepts: the ‘sunrise' room serves green juices, coffee and brunch, while the ‘sunset' bar and restaurant offers more indulgent dinners.
The building features artwork from Collagism, Shuby, Luap, Bonnie & Clyde, Marco Walker, Ant Hamlyn and more. In the private dining room UK artist Lucy Sparrow's felt artwork ‘The Billion Dollar Robbery', which was exhibited at London's Saatchi Gallery last year, offers an immersive experience for 40 guests.
Paradise Green has been in the making for three years and was inspired by Surfers Paradise on Queensland's Gold Coast in Australia, home during co-founder Prue Freeman's university years.

Rails
Tribute Portfolio Hotel group's Great Northern hotel in London's King's Cross has reopened its restaurant, Rails, formerly known as Plum + Spilt Milk. The 80-cover venue offers modern British cuisine with French flavours.

Viajante87
Markus Thesleff, creator of Baja-Nihon restaurant Los Mochis, is to open a sister cocktail bar, Viajante87, in London's Notting Hill. Bar director Panos Kanatsoulis will curate a drinks menu focusing on 100% agave-based and zero-waste cocktails.

Zia Lucia
Gianluca D'Angelo and Claudio Vescovo's independent pizzeria chain Zia Lucia has opened its eighth site, in London's Canary Wharf. The menu offers a matcha dough that is exclusive to the 80-cover restaurant.

Club Mexicana
Meriel Armitage's Club Mexicana, the vegan, Mexican-Californian street-food restaurant, is to open in East London. The 70-cover venue will reside in a former gallery, featuring a colour palette of warm oranges and cool blues.

Kuro Eatery
Julian Victoria and Jacob Van Nieuwkoop, the pair behind coffee house Kuro, have opened all-day restaurant Kuro Eatery in London's Notting Hill. The 30-cover venue is headed by chef Andriannos Poulis. A bakery led by Nicolas Ruty from the Savoy will open next month.

Longboys
Graham Hornigold and Heather Kaniuk, founders of finger doughnut brand Longboys, have launched their biggest site in London's King's Cross. Hornigold created the éclair-doughnut, a brioche with fresh fillings.

Elis, Bethnal Green, London
Rafael Cagali, chef and owner of the two-Michelin-starred Da Terra, has opened his second restaurant, Elis, in the Town Hall hotel in London's Bethnal Green.
Elis pays homage to Cagali's mother, who named her first jazz bar and restaurant in São Paulo after the Brazilian musician Elis Regina.
His second restaurant, housed in the hotel's former Corner Room, has 30 covers.
It is more informal than Da Terra, focusing on à la carte-style dishes that once again draw on his Brazilian-Italian heritage.
The concise wine list, which will consist of 10-12 bottles and five or six by the glass, have been supplied by Keeling Andrew & Co, the creators of Noble Rot.

Restaurant Journey, Cheltenham
Jeff Lewis, formerly of the Fat Duck in Bray, has opened fine-dining venue Restaurant Journey in Cheltenham. His three-hour, 12-course menu will showcase local ingredients on Wednesday to Saturday evenings.

Chef Aldo Zilli is to open family-style Italian restaurant Lucarelli on the fifth floor of London's Harvey Nichols department store. The 60-cover diner will mark his fourth opening over the past 12 months.

Sun Street hotel, East London
Bespoke Hotels' Sun Street hotel has opened in East London. The boutique hotel has 41 bedrooms, including seven suites, each with king-size beds, Oxford pillows and Penhaligon toiletries. Chef Stuart Cauldwell will be leading the food offering at the 40-cover restaurant.

Pulia, Borough Market, London
Puglia-inspired diner Pulia is to open as a 60-cover restaurant in London's Borough Market. It will showcase sharing dishes from Southern Italy, while also offering a range of vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options.

Fat Hippo, Shoreditch, London
Independent Northern-based burger group Fat Hippo has opened its first London restaurant in Shoreditch. Fat Hippo group was founded in 2010 in Jesmond, Newcastle upon Tyne, by Michael Phillips. The group now has 15 sites across the country, including Newcastle, Liverpool, Manchester, Cardiff, Glasgow and London.
The 3,000 sq ft venue has 108 covers and will be open every day from 11.30am to 10.30pm, with weekday offers such as the lunchtime ‘Fast Hippo' burgers and fries available for £8.
The menu offers plant-based, dairy-free, gluten-free or halal chicken options alongside its signature burgers.
Fat Hippo announced plans to open a second site in London next year as well as one in York. Over the next 12 months, it aims to launch a further six restaurants.

Natalia Ribbe and Jackson Berg, the pair behind Barletta at the Turner Contemporary, have opened another wine bar and restaurant in Margate. Sète was inspired by the kitchens of Marseille and Parisian night-life. Wines are available on tap, by glass or by the bottle.

Clean Kitchen Club has opened its 80-cover, 2,441 sq ft restaurant in London's Battersea Power Station. It is currently the only plant-based food and lifestyle brand to publish carbon ratings of individual menu items.

St Pancras Champagne Bar by Searcy's, London
Europe's longest Champagne bar has reopened since it closed for refurbishment. Its new décor is inspired by the golden era of railway and features a new seafood bar.

The founders of London restaurants Maru in Mayfair and Taka in Marylebone are to open Japanese bakery Hachi in Notting Hill. Chef-patron Taiji Maruyama will work with ex-Nobu pastry chef Sachie Worrall.

St John, Marylebone, London
Fergus Henderson and Trevor Gulliver are to open their first restaurant in over a decade, St John Marylebone, in central London. St John Marylebone will be an all-day, split-floor, wine-led establishment, featuring its own-label selection as well as a range of classic and new French wines.
Dishes have been devised by head chef Fintan Sharp, alongside Henderson and chef-director Jonathan Woolway.
The restaurant will be open from 8am to 11pm daily. The breakfast offering includes doughnuts, bread and pastries from St John's bakery in Bermondsey, while the lunch menu serves daily small plate specials, echoing the style of Smithfield, the first St John site.
Dinner will also change daily, while staying loyal to St John's ethos of nose-to-tail cooking. Henderson and Gulliver designed the interior with Red Deer Architects. The whitewashed, monochrome walls are complimented by wooden tables, a curved zinc bar and a cast iron staircase.
