Muriel's Kitchen to open at the National Gallery
London bistro Muriel's Kitchen is to open a restaurant, café and espresso bar at the National Gallery in early 2022.
The original venue was opened close to the gallery in South Kensington in 2011 by husband and wife Sam and Charlotte Miller, is named after Charlotte's grandmother and serves seasonal menus in a homely environment.
The espresso bar will provide an ‘on-the-go' service, while the café will be inspired by the South Kensington restaurant, serving a seasonal menu in a relaxed setting. Additionally, a standalone restaurant with its own branded entrance will welcome non-gallery visitors and serve an à la carte menu celebrating British produce. The restaurant will be open from breakfast through to dinner, including weekend brunches and afternoon tea, with a private dining room and cocktail bar.
The Millers said in a joint statement: "Since opening Muriel's Kitchen in 2011, our core ethos has been to serve fresh, seasonal produce all day long. Our lively bistro in South Kensington has always been the heart of our brand, and like many others, the last year has seen our business change in ways we never expected. We are incredibly excited to introduce Muriel's to this landmark venue and are dedicated to delivering our quality food, service, and operations.
