Mowgli to open Cheltenham restaurant this summer
Indian restaurant group Mowgli is to open a site in Cheltenham this summer, creating more than 30 jobs.
Founder Nisha Katona (pictured) confirmed on Instagram the company has taken a unit at the Brewery Quarter shopping centre.
It will be the 12th restaurant opening for Mowgli, which was founded in Liverpool in 2014.
Katona said: "Out of the ashes of a decimated 2020 we hope to raise this sweet fledging Indian home kitchen in the Brewery Quarter.
"To be able to take Mowgli there, to create over 30 jobs, to find and support a local charity there makes me so proud and reminds me of why we must keep our strength and chin up and march on as bloodied as we are."
The street food chain raises thousands of pounds for charities each year through its Mowgli Trust, which is designed to support the communities in which it opens.
Mowgli has restaurants in Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham, Oxford, Nottingham, Sheffield, Cardiff, Leicester and Leeds.
It is also due to open a site in Bristol but has faced planning delays.
