Zak Jones to open Ilkley restaurant, creating around 30 jobs
Zak Jones, the former owner of the Clerkenwell Dining Room in London, is opening a major restaurant project in Ilkley, West Yorkshire, next year.
Moss and Moor will include a 230-seat restaurant/café incorporated into a large garden centre, alongside a food hall and retail outlets.
It is set to open in February 2021 and is expected to create around 30 jobs.
Jones told The Caterer: "The industry is currently going through tough times, which makes me even more aware as to just how lucky I am with the position I hold and the fact I am now looking to recruit a full team, which gives West Yorkshire a great boost."
The restaurant and garden centre will be open seven days a week for breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea.
Its menu will make use of locally sourced ingredients, while produce such as artisan cheese, charcuterie, gins, pickles and wines will be available to buy in the food hall.
Jones also owned the Chancery restaurant in London's Holborn from 2004 to 2017, before joining Soho House as general manager and Rhubarb as director.
He is currently recruiting for an entire back and front of house team, as well as staff for the food hall.
