Manchester's Midland hotel reveals £14m refurbishment
The Midland hotel in Manchester has revealed the first images of areas that have benefitted from a £14m refurbishment project.
Leonardo Royal Hotels has released images of the lobby and Midland restaurant, that will replace the previous on-site restaurant, Mr Cooper's, which was opened by Simon Rogan in 2013 before being taken back in house in 2016. The new restaurant will undergo a full rebrand, turning into a British bistro with an all-day menu.
Meanwhile, the hotel's foyer will now include an eye-catching split level bar built on a raised platform opposite Adam Reid at the French.
All of the hotel's 312 bedrooms are being refurbished as part of the project, with work set to be completed by June 2020. They will feature a neutral colour palette, soft padded armchairs and glowing lamps.

The £14m investment allows us to make our own mark on this iconic Manchester property, whilst maintaining the hotel's renowned grandeur.

The refurbishment follows the rebrand of the spa into Rena Spa at the Midland in November.
