Seed-to-plate experience will see guests soaked with sprinklers and taken through a cow's stomach
A ‘super immersive' restaurant will take diners on a wild journey following the path of their meal from seed to plate.
Experiential hospitality group Meadowsweet will seat each group in their own furrow before pouring soil on their heads to mark the start of their voyage of vegetation.
Head chef Carl Pat told The Caterer that heat lamps will then assimilate the sun before a sprinkler system is switched on and a troop of dancers perform to mark the start of the growing process.
After a first dish of grass shoots with lemon raindrops is served, he said that a herd of cattle will be brought in to meet the diners and ‘chew the cud'.
A music and light display will then transport diners through the four compartments of the bovine stomach with a corresponding snack served at each juncture.
Guests will then be returned to the soil where they will celebrate the conclusion of the regenerative cycle by feasting on a grass-fed beef burger topped with cheese and worm bacon.
Pat added: "We can't wait to welcome our first ‘seeds' and transport them through the magical processes of photosynthesis, digestion and expulsion so they can truly embody their dinner. It's set to be a magical event for all involved."
