Marcus Wareing's Gilbert Scott restaurant and George's Bar close after 10 years
Marcus Wareing's Gilbert Scott restaurant and George's Bar at London's St Pancras Renaissance hotel have closed after 10 years in business.
The venue, which was named after the architect who designed the 1873 Victorian Gothic hotel building, saw its lease come to an end on 4 May.
A spokesperson for Marcus Wareing Restaurants said: "The plan was always to operate out of the stunning space for a maximum of 10 years and as that milestone has been reached, it has been decided not to extend the lease.
"We want to thank all the staff and customers for their unrivalled support and dedication to creating such a memorable dining experience.
"Marcus will continue to run his Michelin-starred restaurant, Marcus in Knightsbridge, and looks forward to welcoming guests for its reopening on Monday 17 May, with a fresh new menu and exciting development plans for the imminent future."
