Luxury Family Hotels' Moonfleet Manor undergoing multimillion-pound upgrade
Luxury Family Hotels has begun a multimillion-pound upgrade of its Moonfleet Manor hotel in Dorset, with the property set to reopen in March 2022.
The investment project will see the refurbishment of the 16 guest bedrooms located within the Georgian manor house; all coach houses will also be upgraded to include three rather than two bedrooms per accommodation; and the property will also unveil an updated lounge and a new fully accessible room. Designed by Studio Jill, the bedrooms will have four-poster beds and new bathrooms.
The hotel closed at the beginning of January and existing staff have and will be retained throughout the closure.
Simon Maguire, managing director of Luxury Family Hotels, said: "We are delighted to announce the development works for Moonfleet Manor, the latest in a series of investments across the Luxury Family Hotels portfolio of properties. With a fresh new look and design upgrades for our bedrooms and lounges, we're looking forward to welcoming families back to an elevated version of the Jurassic Coast hotel they know and love, just in time for the ‘Great British Summer'!"
The works are the latest in a series of investments for the Luxury Family Hotels group, alongside the recent multimillion-pound development of Fowey Hall in Cornwall, also due to be completed in the spring. The Fowey Hall project will include 24 new bedrooms, a new outdoor swimming pool and a re-landscaping of the grounds and driveway, building on last year's multimillion-pound refurbishment of the existing bedrooms and communal spaces.
