Spot in the Woods
Boutique hotel Spot in the Woods has reopened after being forced to close due to the pandemic. Located in the Hampshire village of Woodlands, near Southampton, it offers 11 individually decorated rooms equipped with Nespresso coffee machines, Roberts radios and roll-top baths. Visitors can also stay in five shepherds huts, featuring electric log fires, and dogs are welcome.
Spot in the Woods' food and beverage offer has had an overhaul, with menus focused on locally-sourced produce and seasonal forest-inspired dishes.
The property is one of four sites within the Hillbrooke Hotels collection, which owns hotels and pubs on or near stately homes.

Din Tai Fung
The second London restaurant from Taiwanese soup dumpling specialist Din Tai Fung is to launch at Selfridges. The 131-cover restaurant will use serving robots to assist customers.

Knoops
Hot chocolate brand Knoops is heading to Oxford for its seventh opening, with shops already set up in Brighton, Rye and London. Customers can choose from 20 varieties of chocolate to create a bespoke hot chocolate, chocolate milk, mocha or milkshake, served alongside pastries from bakery Gatineau.

Tonkotsu
Ramen chain Tonkotsu has opened its 14th location, in London's Finsbury Park, serving freshly made noodles, gyoza and chicken karaage, alongside Tsuji Brewery sake.

Clayton Hotel Manchester City Centre
Ireland's Dalata Hotel Group has launched its second Manchester site. The £45m, 18-storey hotel features 329 rooms, a modern British restaurant and bar, and five meeting rooms for up to 153 visitors.

CitySuites II
CitySuites has opened its second aparthotel in Manchester, in the Embankment West neighbourhood. It has 142 luxury apartments, five penthouses, a gym, 18-metre pool, steam rooms, co-working spaces and a 24-hour concierge.

Number Eight
Stuart Gillies, former chief executive of the Gordon Ramsay Group, is to open a restaurant and bar in Sevenoaks in Kent. The menu will be based on Gillies' time working as a chef in cities including Rome, New York and London.
