Landmark London to offer workforce mental health awareness courses ahead of reopening

The Landmark London has partnered with the Skills Network to offer the hotel's 200 employees free access to level 1 mental health awareness online courses ahead of reopening on 17 May.

The courses will be available to the five-red-AA-starred, 300-bedroom hotel's 25 staff who have continued to work through the pandemic, as well as to the remaining 175 on furlough.

There are also plans to extend this access to level 2 and 3 mental health awareness courses once the Marylebone hotel reopens.

James Earl, executive director of sales at the Skills Network, said: "With the past year having a massive effect on the hospitality industry, the Landmark London approached the Skills Network to help provide employees with the opportunity to increase their knowledge and understanding of mental health, spot early signs of poor mental health and potentially be able to prevent individuals from suffering in silence.

"It's really exciting to work with a five-star hotel like the Landmark London and to be able to deliver programmes that will benefit the employees' wellbeing and skillsets. This will enable them to build knowledge within the business while rewarding staff by investing in learning and development."
