KOP Group to bring Montigo Resorts brand to London
Singaporean investor KOP Group has announced the purchase of the 105-key Burns hotel in London's Kensington for £35m, with plans to relaunch it under the Montigo Resorts brand.
The property comprises five interconnected town houses, a large reception, bar, restaurant facilities and a private garden. It will undergo an extensive renovation to become a boutique luxury hotel, operated by Montigo Resorts, the hospitality arm of the group's public-listed entity, when it opens in the first quarter of 2024.
The upscale leisure brand has properties in Nongsa in Batam, Indonesia (pictured), and Seminyak in Bali, Indonesia.

The purchase through Knight Frank was completed on 30 May and is the second hotel the group has purchased this year following the acquisition of Charlton House Hotel & Spa in Somerset. The group will relaunch the Grade II-listed, 28-bedroom English country house this summer.
The founders of KOP have previously owned and participated in the refurbishment of 10 Trinity Square and the Cranley hotels in London.
