Klaus Kabelitz to join the Biltmore from the Belmond Cadogan

Klaus Kabelitz is to leave the Belmond Cadogan as general manager to join the recently opened Biltmore hotel in London's Mayfair.

It has been confirmed that Kabelitz will join the hotel to replace Arthur Ho, who has been general manager of the property since 2017, when the it operated as the Millennium Hotel London Mayfair. The hotel relaunched as the 308-bedroom Biltmore under Hilton's luxury LXR Hotels & Resorts brand in September following a £60m redevelopment.

The Caterer revealed earlier this week that Kabelitz was stepping down from the role of general manager at the Belmond Cadogan in London's Chelsea, 10 months after he led the opening of the luxury hotel group's first London property.

The much-anticipated 54-bedroom hotel, sister property to the acclaimed Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons in Great Milton, Oxfordshire, opened in February following a four-year, £28m renovation.

Kabelitz returned to London four years ago from Le Richemond in Geneva, a Dorchester Collection hotel, where he moved in 2012 from London after spending nine years as general manager of the Berkeley hotel.
