Honey & Co to close original restaurant after 10 years
After 10 years on Warren Street in London, Itamar Srulovich and Sarit Packer's Middle Eastern restaurant Honey & Co has announced it will be closing in April.
The chef couple were not offered the option to renew their 10-year lease at 25A Warren Street, however they hope to reopen the concept elsewhere in the capital.
Srulovich said: "Sadly the time came to renew and the building was sold instead. While it was a bit of a blow after such a crazy 18 months, we are moving on and excited for the next 10 years of Honey & Co, whatever that may bring.
"We had no clue what a happy monster it would become when we opened. Now we're about so much more than bricks and mortar – who knew we would write cookbooks and a column, host a podcast, teach classes, spend a lot of time dancing on Instagram? And we know our community will support us on our next adventure, coming soon."
Since opening the first restaurant in 2012, grillhouse Honey & Smoke on Great Portland Street followed in 2016, along with deli Honey & Spice also on Warren Street, all within walking distance of each other. Honey & Co on Warren Street will close from the end of April. Honey & Smoke and Honey & Spice will remain open.
