Hilton London Metropole appoints Bill Fisher as general manager
Bill Fisher has been announced as the new general manager of the 1,100-room Hilton London Metropole.
The hotel is the largest Hilton outside of the US and has undergone a multi-million-pound refurbishment which was completed earlier this year. This included the relaunch of four restaurants and bars overseen by executive chef Paul Bates.
As general manager of the hotel, Fisher will work to improve guest experience while focusing on sustainability and oversee both leisure and corporate events at the hotel.
Fisher has 22 years' experience working in the hospitality industry, including 14 years within Hilton in a number of hotels around the world including Hilton Beijing Wangfujing and Hilton Chengdu where he took on his first general manager position in 2015. He then moved onto area general manager roles, overseeing a number of Hilton properties in China including Shanghai, Suzhou, Nanjing and Urumqi.
"It's such an honour to be appointed as general manager of Hilton London Metropole," said Fisher.
"The hotel is a flagship of style, quality and design. I'm incredibly passionate about building on the already positive culture and amazing guest experience, and levelling it up to reach our new goals.
"I love getting to know our team members, remaining hands on and look forward working with the team to elevate every element of the hotel to reflect the beautiful refurbishment."
