Henry Brosi named executive chef at the Lansdowne Club

The Dorchester veteran Henry Brosi has joined another London institution, the Lansdowne Club, as its new executive chef.

Brosi, who left the Dorchester in 2019 after two decades at the helm of cuisine at the five-red-AA-star hotel, is to oversee the food offering at the Mayfair private members' club.

The Lansdowne has been a mixed-gender members' club since 1935 and sits in a historic building on the south-west corner of Berkeley Square. It has 73 rooms, an art-deco dining room and an al-fresco courtyard dining area.

Brosi comes fresh from a stint at the Four Seasons Hotel London at Park Lane, where he was also executive chef. Over his 44-year career, the chef has also worked at three Michelin-star restaurants around the continent and led on catering at events including Royal Ascot and the RHS Chelsea Flower Show.

At The Lansdowne he will report directly to the club's head of food and beverage, Diederik Buyze.

Brosi said he looks forward "to developing and improving our culinary offerings throughout" the club. The chef plans to work with seasonal ingredients and offer both "familiar favourites" and "innovative new surprises" in his menus.

He said: "One of my earliest goals was always to work in iconic places and to be able to lead an excellent culinary team."

The Lansdowne chief executive, David Herbert, said the team is "delighted" to have Brosi on board as head chef, and that he "brings a real wealth of flair and experience".

"I have no doubt that his exquisite cuisine will become a high point of the club's dining experience," he added.
