Exclusive Hotels and Venues has appointed Graham Copeman as general manager of Pennyhill Park in Bagshot, Surrey.

He will join the 124-bedroom property on 3 June, after moving on from his role as group hotel director of the Zetter Group, where he was responsible for three London properties for nearly three and a half years.

Earlier positions in his career include stints at several leading hotels in the capital including as managing director of St James's Hotel & Club; general manager, the Goring; house manager, Claridge's; front office manager, One Aldwych; and assistant front office manager, the Lanesborough.

Copeman said: "Pennyhill Park is a truly iconic property. I am very excited to begin working with the team, to enhance the potential of each element of this prestigious 123-acre estate, creating an exquisite experience for our guests."

Danny Pecorelli, managing director of the seven-strong Exclusive Hotels and Venues, added: "We are thrilled to welcome Graham to Pennyhill, with his professionalism and wealth of luxury hospitality experience he will be a huge asset to Exclusive.

"I have no doubt he will do a great job, not only for the business but also for developing the talented team at Pennyhill."

Copeman will replace Julian Tomlin who recently left Exclusive Hotels and Venues after 18 years with the company to join Macdonald Hotels as a managing director, with responsibility for properties in the south of England.
