Glenapp Castle names Joe Gould as executive chef

Joe Gould has been appointed executive chef at the three-AA-rosette Glenapp Castle in Ayrshire, Scotland, ahead of the launch of a new restaurant and events space.

Gould joins from a head chef role at Fishmore Hall Hotel & Spa in Shropshire and won the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs UK Young Chef of the Year award in 2015.

He was also a senior sous chef at Lainston House in Winchester until 2016 and has cooked at Coworth Park in Ascot.

Glenapp Castle will soon be launching its new Azalea Glasshouse restaurant and events space, located in its walled garden.

It is also opening the Endeavour, a penthouse castle apartment featuring four bedrooms, five bathrooms, a media room, library, sauna and private kitchen and dining room for up to 16 guests.

Jill Chalmers, managing director of Glenapp Castle, said: "We are absolutely confident that Joe will take the hotel and the F&B offering to new heights. We are committed to developing our offering and to growing our already flourishing business."

Glenapp Castle has been a member of Relais & Châteaux hotel consortium since 2002.
