Fyfes purchase Claymore hotel in Pitlochry from the McFarlanes
The Claymore hotel in Pitlochry, Perthshire, has been sold to Gordon and Lauren Fyfe for an undisclosed sum after inviting offers of over £1.35m.
Graeme and Di McFarlane, the prior owners of the guest house, sold the property after deciding to retire.
The recently refurbished hotel has 14 bedrooms, four flats with a detached self-catering complex and a spacious garden.
The Fyfes said that they were very excited for future development opportunities at the Claymore. They said: "This purchase is the culmination of our search for a new lifestyle business in Pitlochry. We have been focused on this area for over two years and delighted that we have now successfully acquired the business we had our hearts set on.
"We look forward to taking over from Di and Graeme who have been instrumental to the success of the business."
Peter Seymour, hotel and leisure director at Graham + Sibbald, which oversaw the sale, added: "The high value and market leading sale of the Claymore adds to the recent successes of other sales within Pitlochry and demonstrates the resilience of the market despite recent and ongoing challenges.
"We wish all the very best to the Mr and Mrs Fyfe and look forward to seeing how they take the business forward in years to come."
