Free allergens webinar to explore Natasha's Law
With Natasha's Law coming into effect on 1 October, The Caterer is holding a free webinar to explore how hospitality operators can prepare their businesses for the new allergen legislation.
Taking place at 11:00-12:30 on 31 March the webinar is dedicated to equipping hospitality operators with the knowledge and best practice to keep customers and staff safe and informed.
Delivered in partnership with Nutritics, it will detail how Natasha's Law will impact your businesses and outline the preparations required to ensure compliance with the changes in food labelling.
Speakers include Arvind Thandi from the Food Standards Agency, and the Institute of Food Science and Technology's Rachel Ward, who will explain how operators should be preparing for the changes.
Holroyd Howe's Amy Roberts will describe how the caterer has changed processes to ensure it accurately communicates allergen information alongside Stephen Nolan from Nutritics, who will explore best practice in menu management and labelling.
The Caterer editor James Stagg said: "With just over six months until the introduction of Natasha's Law, it is vital that hospitality businesses put plans in place to keep their guests informed. Particularly with so much more pre-packed food sold as a result of the pandemic, operators must recognise their responsibilities to customers. The consequences of getting it wrong are severe.
"Through practical advice from allergen experts, this webinar will detail how operators can ensure they keep both customers and staff safe."
Topics covered include:
- Your responsibilities, including what you will be required to provide by law.
- Strategies and steps to take in order to communicate with customers effectively.
- How you can effectively train your staff to be allergen aware and protect your customers and reputation.
- Experts and operators share best practice, top tips and lessons learned.
