France, the Netherlands, Monaco and Malta to be removed from travel corridors list
People arriving in the UK from France, the Netherlands, Monaco, Malta, Turks and Caicos Islands and Aruba from 4am on Saturday 15 August will need to self-isolate for two weeks as the countries are removed from the travel exemptions list.
The Joint Biosecurity Centre and Public Health England have indicated a significant change in coronavirus risk in all six destinations, leading to ministers removing these from the current list of travel corridors.
At the same time, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) has also updated its travel advice to advise against all but essential travel to these areas.
Quarantine restrictions were similarly extended to Belgium, Andorra and the Bahamas last week, although Brunei and Malaysia were added to list of travel corridors for the UK.
