Eight chefs revealed for Hospitality Action South West Polo Day
Eight chefs, including Hywel Jones and Elly Wentworth, will be cooking at the Hospitality Action South West Polo Day at the Beaufort Polo Club in Gloucestershire on 3 September.
At the twelfth Polo Day, which returns after a four-year hiatus, each chef will contribute towards a three-course lunch that will also feature Taittinger Champagne and a canapé reception.
Guests will have the chance to watch the polo before an afternoon cream tea.
The list of participating chefs are:

- Chris Cleghorn, head chef, the Olive Tree, Bath
- Richard Davies, executive chef, Calcot & Spa, Cotswolds
- Hywel Jones, executive chef, Lucknam Park Hotel & Spa, Chippenham
- Robert Potter, executive chef, the Manor House, Bath
- Michael Topp, head pastry chef, the Royal Crescent Hotel & Spa, Bath
- Elly Wentworth, executive chef, the Angel, Devon
- Ricki Weston, executive chef, Whatley Manor Hotel & Spa, Cotswolds
All proceeds, including those from the prize draw and auctions, will go towards Hospitality Action and be distributed to those in the industry who are on the brink of poverty.
Mark Lewis, chief executive of Hospitality Action, said: "Since 2009 the Polo Day has been the crowning glory of our events programme. We are thrilled to return to Beaufort Polo Club after so long, and we expect the event to sell out in record time. The day is a real team effort and brings together the best of South West hospitality."
Tickets for the Polo Day at Beaufort Polo Club cost £130 per person or £1,300 for a table of 10 and are available from the Hospitality Action website.
