Doughnut Time aims to open 50 new stores across the UK
Doughnut Time has announced that it plans to open 50 new stores across the UK over the next three to five years, with a particular focus on sites outside of London.
Its decision to expand the business comes after the group reported 20% per annum growth over the past three years.
Doughnut Time will be opening its first site in Oxford's Westgate Shopping Centre on 6 August, marking the brand's 15th store in the UK.
It has also revealed plans to open another site in Windsor later this summer.
As well as increasing the number of physical sites, Doughnut Time looks to grow its e-commerce side of the business, as its online store now makes up 30% of the company's sales.
Thomas Anderson, founder and chief executive of Doughnut Time UK, said: "We're excited to roll-out Doughnut Time to the rest of the UK having built up a loyal following in London. Now we've emerged out of the pandemic and built our online store, we're able to accelerate the expansion of our stores.
"We were also able to successfully navigate the pandemic without needing to restructure and we now employ 200 people as a business, which gives a solid foundation to build from. Doughnut Time can operate from a wide range of locations and formats, from high street stores to shopping centre kiosks, retail and leisure parks, and even pop-up drive-thru locations."
