D&D London opens first dedicated UK events space
D&D London's Alexander & Björck has launched Blueprint, a catered event space located close to London's Tower Bridge.
Alexander & Björck is D&D's events catering arm and was co-founded with Lena Björck in 2015. Its regular clients include Lanvin, Jaeger-LeCoultre, Bloomberg and Goldman Sachs.
Blueprint occupies the site of the former Blueprint Cafe, Sir Terence Conran's restaurant which opened in 1989 at what was then the Design Museum.
It can now cater for events ranging from dinners for 30 guests to parties for 150 or more.
Lena Björck, co-founder of Alexander & Björck, said: "It's a massive milestone for A&B to operate our very own venue, particularly in such an iconic space with its history of creativity and design...a perfect site for showcasing A&B's gastronomic flair."
Des Gunewardena, chairman and chief executive officer of D&D, added: "We have operated Guastavino's, a very successful catered events venue in New York for many years and of course a number of our restaurants operate events spaces. But Blueprint will be our first dedicated events location in the UK."
D&D London owns and operates 44 restaurants and a hotel.
Last week, D&D announced its closure of its Aster restaurant in London's Victoria after five years of trading.
