Crockers Henley chef line-up to include two former Lucknam Park head chefs
Crockers Henley, a sister dining destination to Crockers Tring, is set to have a stellar chef line-up including two former Lucknam Park head chefs, Dean Westcar and Tom Westerland.
Former chef Luke Garnsworthy (pictured), chief executive of Crockers Chef's Table in Tring, is behind the project, which like its sister restaurant will feature several dining options including two 16-cover chef's tables and a more relaxed bar and grill, as well as seven bedrooms. The venue is set to open 20 April.
The Thames Table will be overseen by head chef and Acorn Award winner Dean Westcar, and will serve a seasonal, modern British tasting menu. The Gardiner Table, led by head chef Iain Dixon, formerly head chef at Foxhill Manor, will offer a pan-Asian tasting experience. Both will offer a seven-course lunch (£45) and 12-course dinner (from £90).
The Grill will offer all day dining as well as brunch at the weekends. Led by head chef Tom Westerland, 2018 National Chef of Wales, it will offer steaks, fish and shellfish roasted over a charcoal grill; while the bar, overseen by head mixologist Ryan Osnowski, will serve classic and contemporary cocktails. Head of wine Gemma Aldridge will design a regularly changing list of wines from around the world.
The Quarters will have seven bedrooms, reflecting the Georgian heritage of the building, with super king beds and roll-top baths. The transformation of the Grade II-listed building on Henley-on-Thames' Market Place, formerly Milsoms hotel and a Loch Fyne restaurant, is being overseen by Ali Hearn Interiors.
Garnsworthy said: "We're incredibly excited about our new home in Henley-on-Thames! After working on this project for more than a year with Ian Churchill (operations director), that excitement is reaching fever-pitch as we near our launch date. We couldn't wish for a more beautiful location in such a wonderful town. The senior team we have put in place is truly a dream come true, and I can't wait to open our doors to the people of Henley – they're in for a treat."
