Chotto Matte announces global expansion plans
Peruvian-Japanese restaurant group Chotto Matte has announced plans to further expand the brand, with new locations planned for the United States, Middle East and the UK.
Launched in London's Soho in 2013, the Nikkei restaurant group has revealed a pipeline of new sites, including a restaurant set to open in Manchester next summer. Forthcoming international openings will see the business expand further in the US, including in San Francisco in the third quarter of this year, Beverly Hills in the first quarter of 2024, and sites also expected to open in both Nashville and Philadelphia next year. Meanwhile, a new restaurant in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is slated to open in November.
The new sites will join the group's five existing sites in London, Qatar, Miami and Toronto.
The brand's menu is led by global executive chef Jordan Sclare and all upcoming sites will be designed by long-standing brand partner Andy Martin Architecture (AMA).
Kurt Zdesar, founder of Chotto Matte, said: "We believe that our concept has a global appeal, and we are excited to bring Chotto Matte to new audiences around the world. We chose these locations as our expansion destinations because they are all international hubs with a diverse and cosmopolitan population. Each location presents a unique opportunity to showcase our offering and adapt it to the local culture and tastes."
