Chartwells Independent extends 25 catering contracts

Chartwells Independent, the independent school catering division of Compass Group UK & Ireland's Chartwells, has secured 25 contract extensions with its school partners, amounting to 128 contract years.

It marks a record year of business wins at Chartwells Independent, led by partnership director Jason Bendell.

Contract extensions have been secured at sites including Queen's College, London; Halstead Preparatory School for Girls, Surrey; and Derby High School, Derby.

Chartwells Independent will also invest in refurbishing kitchen facilities and dining areas, as well as introducing new technology.

Richard Tillett, principal at Queen's College, London said: "The dining experience in school is a key part of the pupil experience, so it's naturally something we take great care to get right. In Chartwells Independent we have found the perfect partner. We very much look forward to continuing working with them for many years to come."
