Parisian restaurant Café Lapérouse to open at the OWO

High-end Parisian restaurant Café Lapérouse is to open its debut London site at the OWO this year.

Café Lapérouse is described as a "quintessential part of the Parisian dining scene", and the restaurant's name can be traced back to 1766.

The inaugural Café Lapérouse, owned by Moma Group, opened at the Hotel de la Marine in Paris in 2021 on the historic Place de la Concorde.

The London restaurant will be situated in an indoor pavilion in the central courtyard at the OWO and will have space for 80 diners.

The former Old War Office building in London's Whitehall will also be home to the Raffles at the OWO hotel, which launches this summer.

Mauro Colagreco, the chef behind three-Michelin-starred Mirazur in France, is to open two restaurants at the hotel, alongside an outpost of Milanese restaurant Paper Moon.

Mark Hastings, former general manager at Jason Atherton's City Social and director of restaurants at the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, has been appointed director of food and beverage at the hotel.

"Café Lapérouse will bring its own sophisticated French presence to a London audience, which will excite, amaze and thrill diners," said Benjamin Patou, Moma group founder and chief executive.

"This will be a truly indulgent and different experience, offering a theatre of showstopping signature dishes served in stunning, opulent surrounds."

The OWO will also include 85 private residences, a spa run in partnership with wellness brand Guerlain and a health club.
