Buyers found for all Jamie Oliver restaurant sites
Buyers have been found for all Jamie Oliver Restaurant Group sites following its administration earlier this year.
Property adviser Christie & Co, tasked with the final disposal of 20 sites across the UK, today confirmed the completion of the sales.
Among those to take on sites are Richard Caring's Ivy Collection, which takes on three properties including the former Barbecoa in London's St Paul's, and Dishoom, which will extend its Covent Garden restaurant into the neighbouring unit.
Simon Chaplin, senior director at Christie & Co, said: "Many of these sites are in prime locations within key towns and cities, which helped attract a wide variety of operators and bids. We are therefore pleased to have achieved a positive outcome for the joint administrators."
KPMG had been appointed to handle the administration, which included 22 Jamie's Italian sites, one Barbecoa restaurant, Jamie Oliver's Diner at Gatwick Airport and Fifteen London, in May.
All but three Gatwick Airport eateries [two Jamie's Italian restaurants and the diner] were closed immediately, with these restaurants later bought by travel catering specialist SSP.
Closures resulted in approximately 1,000 redundancies.
