Burger & Lobster founder aiming to raise £15m to expand kitchen and grocer Neyba
The founder of the Burger & Lobster group has launched a £15m Series A funding road to expand his kitchen and grocery concept Neyba.
Misha Zelman is aiming to grow the brand to 14 sites across London in areas including Chelsea, Clapham, Hampstead, Wimbledon Village and Dulwich.
He launched Neyba in London's Notting Hill in January in partnership with Ben Hedley, former marketing lead at Heston Blumenthal's the Fat Duck group.
It offers fully prepared meals to eat in, or for takeaway and delivery, with chefs including Tony Singh, Miguel Barclay of Miguel's Pizza and sushi expert Endo Kazotushi creating dishes for the menu.
The ingredients used are also sold within the grocery offering and can be bought in individual portions to reduce wastage.
Each dish can be prepared in under six minutes and is designed with delivery in mind.
The team plans to use the investment to focus on technology including developing an app for customers.
"What a journey this has already been for Neyba and the family we have built," said Zelman.
"This investment round will ensure the Neyba brand is at the forefront of food and the future of food consumption. We've partnered with some of the country's most forward-thinking chefs and producers to create an offering unlike anything else you can find."
