Burger & Lobster founder to open Notting Hill restaurant and grocer
The founder of the Burger & Lobster restaurant chain is to open a restaurant and grocer, named Neyba, in London's Notting Hill in January 2022.
Misha Zelman has partnered with Ben Hedley, former marketing lead at Heston Blumenthal's the Fat Duck group, on the project.
Neyba will serve fully-prepared meals to eat in, or for takeaway and delivery, and will open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks from 7am to 11pm seven days a week.
Chefs including Tony Singh, Miguel Barclay of Miguel's Pizza in Camden, and Yoko Nakada of recipe box business Makes Miso Hungry, have all created dishes for the menu.
Sushi chef Endo Kazotushi has developed a cook at home dish, which will be available for takeaway or delivery.
Customers will be able to purchase retail items from brands such as My Cookie Dough, Granny Gothards ice cream and sorbet, and Kiss the Hippo coffee, and a weekly essentials box will be available for delivery.
Partnered chefs will create new dishes for the menu in future and there are plans for collaborations with other chefs focused on different cuisines.
Zelman said: "Our goal is to stop people wasting all of that food from the weekly shop. Just by getting our grocery essentials box will save our neighbours time, money and bring great ingredients and flavours in to their homes."
Hedley added: "This is a fantastic opportunity to bring all these incredible chefs together to offer authentic ingredients and cuisines under one roof. Having one place where we can go to sample what celebrity and Michelin star chefs eat at home, at affordable prices, we think is a game-changer."
