Black Sheep Group reopens the Cluanie Inn in the Scottish Highlands
The Black Sheep Group has opened the doors to its newest Highlands country hotel, the Cluanie Inn at Glenmoriston.
The 18-bedroom property, which dates back to 1787, has launched following an extensive refurbishment.
Sister properties Rokeby Manor – formerly Craigard Guest House – opened at Invergarry in July, while Whispering Pine Lodge – previously Letterfinlay Lodge – at Spean Bridge is expected to open in the next few weeks.
Sanjay Narang, owner of Black Sheep's Mumbai-based parent company Mars Enterprise and Hospitality, bought the three properties in partnership with his sister Rachna following a "disappointing" visit to the Highlands in 2018.
The pair spent £3m on the acquisitions and a further £9m has been invested in refurbishing the hotels.
Located in Glen Shiel on the way to the Isle of Skye, the Cluanie Inn features bedrooms with views of the Highlands, a restaurant, bar, and souvenir gift shop.
Sanjay Narang said: "We are delighted to be opening the second of our Black Sheep Hotels at Cluanie Inn, which is a well-established local landmark and ensures guests truly affordable luxury in the stunning Highlands.
"This follows the opening of Rokeby Manor earlier this year and brings together our considerable experience and expertise in the hospitality sector in order to provide a distinctive and authentic experience for our guests."
