Ask Italian's Grand Tour raises over £200,000 for Great Ormond Street
Restaurant chain Ask Italian has raised more than £200,000 for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity.
The company's Ask Italian Grand Tour saw fundraisers cycling, walking and swimming for charity across the country.
The 6,121-mile tour called at each of the company's 110 restaurants, although fundraisers completed individual stages of the overall tour.
A total of 423 people took part over 19 days. One of Ask Italian's restaurant managers managed to complete the entire 6,121-mile route.
The company and its fundraisers raised a total of £208,675 for the charity, with its total contribution now standing at almost £400,000.
Steve Holmes, managing director at ASK Italian, said: "The Grand Tour offered our customers and the public a chance to get involved in something that will make a difference to so many children at Great Ormond Street Hospital. The Grand Tour captured the spirit of ASK Italian; raising a high sum of money for a charity close to our hearts, celebrating our passion for real Italian food and culture and, of course, having some fun along the way."
