Armstrong's restaurant in Barnsley changes hands
The restaurant and function venue has a prominent location in Dodworth Road on the A628 (which links Barnsley town centre to the M1) and attracts trade from as far afield as Wakefield, Leeds, Rotherham and Sheffield.
It occupies a three-storey, detached period property that retains some unusual architectural features such as Dutch gables.
The business comprises a 40-seat restaurant and a 12-seat lounge-bar, with a lawned garden and car park to the rear.
The Leeds office of Christie + Co sold the leasehold off a guide price of £80,000 on behalf of brothers Chris and Martin Pick.
Brown previously owned Carriages and the Supper Club in Dore, Sheffield, which was regarded as one of South Yorkshire's top dining venues.
