Arkady Novikov to open second London restaurant
Russian restaurateur Arkady Novikov is set to open his second London venture after taking over the Brompton Quarter Brasserie in Kensington.
Novikov, who launched his eponymous restaurant in Mayfair last year comprising a bar as well as an Italian and a pan-Asian restaurant, will reopen the site as Brompton Asian Brasserie by Novikov early next year.
Open all day, the head chef will be former young Australian chef of the year Paul Greening, who will offer a European menu at breakfast and a pan-Asian menu at lunch and dinner time. Dishes will include dressed Dorset crab with spicy lemongrass and massago gratin, warm aromatic crisp; roast duck and lychee herb salad; and Australian Waygu hanger steak with Thai black peppercorn sauce. Also available will be European dishes and dishes from the wok.
The restaurant manager will be Michael Cheung.
Spread over two floors, Brompton Asian Brasserie will include a bright and airy ground floor restaurant with open kitchen as well as a downstairs cocktail bar and dining room.
Next to the restaurant will be the Grocer by Novikov, which will comprise a takeaway menu as well as a dim sum counter and a shop.
