Antony Worrall Thompson distances himself from pub which food hygiene inpectors rate zero
Celebrity chef Antony Worrall Thompson has distanced himself from the country pub which was in the newspapers after it was rated "zero" by food hygiene inspectors.
Reports last week suggested that Worrall Thompson was still executive chef at The Angel Coaching Inn in Heytesbury, Wiltshire, which failed to impress environmental health officers from West Wiltshire District Council.
Although he was quoted in newspapers calling the rating "unacceptable" and admitting that the head chef had been sacked, Worrall Thompson contacted Caterer this morning to clarify his position at the pub.
"I have had nothing to do with the pub for well over a year," he said. "I helped set up the menu and do a guest appearance once a year, but that is that."
