Anthony Demetre to open Vermuteria at King's Cross
Wild Honey's Anthony Demetre is set to open a new restaurant in King's Cross as a string of new openings pour into the area.
The chef's latest offering, Vermuteria, is set to open in Coal Drops Yard. The canal-side shopping street will operate close to Dishoom and Caravan's King's Cross outlets.
Other openings set to launch in Coal Drops Yard include Spanish tapas bar Barrafina, Pip Lacey's Hicce and Alain Ducasse's Le Chocolat Alain Ducasse.
The project also features investor Appudarai Ragudasan, who is listed as a company director. Ragudasan was previously involved with Demetre on Arbutus, Soho's Michelin-starred Frith Street restaurant which closed down in 2016.
Designer Michael Sodeau, who worked on the interiors for the now closed Market Restaurant in Camden and Westfield shopping centre's Ooze Risotteria, is also listed as a director.
