Amazon considering London food delivery service
Online shopping giant Amazon may be considering taking on Deliveroo, Just Eat and UberEats with its own online food delivery service, according to TechCrunch.
Amazon Restaurants is already available in some US cities, where Amazon Prime customers can order from local partner restaurants through the Prime Now app for one-hour delivery.
According to the report, the company may be looking at rolling the service out to UK customers in London and has approached a number of London restaurants, many of whom are already listed on Deliveroo and UberEats, to try to sign them up to a pending Amazon Restaurants launch.
Amazon was unavailable for comment.
