Albert Roux to take over private members' club
Silver Catey winner Albert Roux is to take over a Norfolk private members' club.
The multi-Michelin-starred chef, who recently opened a Brasserie Roux at the Sofitel London Heathrow hotel in a joint venture with Compass Group's Restaurant Associates, has been linked with Reeds of Tombland in Norwich.
According to the Norfolk Eastern Daily Press the venue, which has more than 500 members, is to be renamed Roux Fine Dining at Reeds at an official launch event on 18 October.
Albert Roux recently consulted on the opening of the Restaurant at the Ellington hotel in Leeds, which opened earlier this month.
In July Albert and brother Michel were awarded the Silver Catey by Caterer and Hotelkeeper in recognition of their contribution to the industry, which includes the creation of Le Gavroche in London and the Waterside Inn in Bray, Essex.
