Alan Jones appointed head chef of Cowley Manor

Cotswolds hotel Cowley Manor has appointed Alan Jones as its new head chef.

Jones most recently spent five years as head chef of D&D Almeida. He also had a stint at Lucknam Park restaurant in Bath. The South West-born chef began his training at City of Bristol College before training under Michelin-starred chef Richard Neat.

"I could not be more excited to join Cowley Manor and return to my roots; not only as I am originally from the South West but also to be back in the inspirational surroundings of a country house estate. To work with the 55 acres of land, create a vegetable and herb garden of my own and forge relationships with the local suppliers and farmers will be a real privilege." said Jones.

Cowley Manor opened in 2002 and is operated by A Curious Group of Hotels.
