Adam Simmonds joins Iconic Luxury Hotels' Mayfair Townhouse

Adam Simmonds has been appointed head chef at Iconic Luxury Hotels' Mayfair Townhouse hotel, which is due to open on 3 December when lockdown restrictions are lifted in England.

Simmonds left his former role as executive chef at the Capital hotel in London earlier this year after eight months, having previously spent five months as head chef at the Belmond Cadogan.

He was executive chef of Danesfield House in Marlow, Buckinghamshire, for six years, where he won Chef of the Year (fewer than 250 covers) at the 2011 Hotel Cateys. His earlier career included three years at Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons in Great Milton, Oxfordshire, where he worked his way up to sous chef.

Federico Ciampi oversees the 172-bedroom Mayfair Townhouse as general manager and further appointments include Hubert Losguardi, formerly of Dukes London, as director of sales and marketing.

Dianna Beran has been appointed head concierge, joining from her previous role as assistant head concierge at the Belmond Cadogan; and bar manager is Pierpaolo Monaco, who held the same position at the May Fair hotel.

The property is owned by global private investment group L+R Hotels, the parent company of Iconic Luxury Hotels.

Iconic Luxury Hotels' UK portfolio includes Cliveden House in Taplow, Berkshire; Chewton Glen, New Milton, Hampshire; the Lygon Arms, Broadway, Worcestershire; and 11 Cadogan Gardens, Chelsea, London.
