Iconic Luxury Hotels to launch the Mayfair Townhouse
Iconic Luxury Hotels is to add a fifth hotel to its portfolio with the transformation of the Hilton London Green Park into the Mayfair Townhouse.
Located across seven Georgian-listed buildings in Half Moon Street close to Green Park, the newly transformed 172-bedroom hotel will open in September. The building is owned by global private investment group L+R Hotels, the parent company of Iconic Luxury Hotels.
The Mayfair Townhouse will join Iconic Luxury Hotels collection of four properties including Cliveden House in Taplow, Berkshire; Chewton Glen, New Milton, Hampshire; the Lygon Arms, Broadway, Worcestershire; and 11 Cadogan Gardens, Chelsea, London.
It will feature the Dandy bar providing all-day dining, private gym and versatile event spaces.
Andrew Stembridge, executive director of Iconic Luxury Hotels and 2010 Hotelier of the Year, will oversee the opening of the hotel. He said that its launch will mark "a significant moment" in the history of the group.
"It marks an exciting new chapter for the collection, and we are proud to welcome our second London hotel to further contribute to Iconic Luxury Hotels' esteemed reputation of effortless hospitality, people with personality, unique experiences and iconic addresses."
General manager of the Mayfair Townhouse will be Federico Ciampi, who will be joining from the Trafalgar St James hotel, which is also owned by L+R Hotels.
The interior is being created by L+R's in-house design team.
