Adam Perry Lang steps back from Barbecoa
US chef and barbecue enthusiast Adam Perry Lang, who together with Jamie Oliver opened Barbecoa, has taken a step back from the restaurant at the One New Change development in the City of London.
However, the chef, who will now focus on his existing ventures in the USA, including his Daisy May's BBQ restaurant in New York, remains a shareholder within the business.
A spokeswoman for Jamie Oliver commented: "After a very successful first year, the Barbecoa kitchen is strong enough to allow Adam to focus his talents on his other interests, although Adam remains part of the Barbecoa family."
Meanwhile, Jamie Oliver is planning to launch his high-street restaurant chain Jamie's Italian in North America.
The celebrity chef, who has already expanded the concept to the Middle East and Australia, confirmed he intends to take the brand across the Atlantic, although no specific plans are yet in place.
