1847 Manchester restaurant to reopen
Vegetarian restaurant 1847 in Manchester is set to reopen at a new city centre location in October after the original site on Mosley Street closed in May.
The original restaurant was expected to undergo expansion, focusing on the back of house and toilet areas, but discussions with the landlord came to a standstill and owner Damien Davenport decided to look for a new site.
Bookings are being taken for 9 October at the new 80-cover site, which will be more than twice the size of the old one.
The 1847 brand, named after the year the vegetarian society formed, launched in 2011, and now operates restaurants in Birmingham and Bristol. The brand's Brighton branch, which opened in 2015, has been closed since June without explanation.
